vibe coding

Ray 17 October 2026

vibe coding and reverse engineering with AI have definately hit the news recently.
So why not join in on the bandwagon!

I wanted a note app that had certain things that weren’t available on the apps available, so I vibe coded with sol 6.1 a note app that combines certain features from Joplin, Zttlr & obsidian.
The original prompt required a full clean room approach like most of the clones recently, however, I can’t guarantee it didn’t look at the source of the other apps if they were availble.

It’s free and open source with the source available on github.
feel free to check out https://wattlenotes.app it is in alpha still and has various little quirks as I have no idea how to code with rust.

It’s honestly quite scary in a way how easy it is to have a system just make an app for you, or copy other apps. and I’m unsure of how I feel about the clones of these paid apps as it could cause issues in the future for people creating applications for profit.
